I love how jeep thinks all of their customers  will live in contemporary houses as opposed to tasteless macmassions in the exurbs.

It’s almost as big of a disappointment as the Blazer. Only I never had any hope for a cool blazer

I’m not offended by it per se.

And an intern at the Chinese car company dropped the paperwork and mixed up the plans with pictures of the Lincoln Navigator .

I just think it’s funny their showing it up n a drive way. Isn’t that a bit off brand for Jeep? It should be on a dirt road with 6 bikes hanging off that back , or on a boat landing with a nice cabin cruiser,  or mysteriously parked on top of a mountain ?

Can’t unsee the ‘Cuda grille. Maybe they have plans to do some badge engineering!

Not really trend setting, by any means. I do like how the exterior lights come on in sequence. I wonder if the production version will keep the light bar above the grill?

I’ll say it Untill it no longer needs to be said.

WHEELS DONE HSVE TO BE THAT BIG

Those have to be at least 24”s.

I don’t like the black a pillar / hood intersection and I certainly want to see it on 18s instead of 22s. But as far as gigantic SUVs go, I think its interesting. At least they did something with that B-C-D pillar look.

Interior looks as nice as d enali, escalade, navi, etc.

I don’t hate the wheels.

I’m not sure what the rest of it is trying to be, but it looks like a front end kit on a Tahoe.

Lol at that. Well I hope they are smart enough to offer a big rim package like the 22s on the Ram Limited and an offr oad worthy 18 like on the Rebel. Some sidewall and tread would help it look like a Jeep imo.

Maybe it looks better in black? I just hate the different color roof/ pillars. Hated it on FJ Cruisers, hated it on the Aston Martin DB 11, still hate it here. As others have stated, the 24" wheels are stupid as well. M ore sidewall = more comfort, it’s not fucking rocket science.

Wow that does suck, do they even show these things to people that like cars before they unveil them?

The only thing that comes to mind:

It used to be the Excursion, but this seems more excessive.

The canyonero is better designed.

I don’t hate it. There are some design quirks I’m not nuts about, like how the rear windows kick up when all of the other ones are flat bottomed, but overall there’s nothing really offensive about it. In today’s world of jumbled, contradicting automotive design language, the simplicity is nice.

The big picture is a bit of a blocky, plain expanse, but the details are killer. The intricacies of the grill, the wood inserts in the roof rails, the sequenced lights, to name a few. I don’t like the map on the roof; I’d rather have a clear view of the night sky. That’s a detail I could do without.

It’s an interesting rig for the segment. I like that it has Ram underpinnings and hope that leads to some Rebel-type variant with some off road chops and beefy tires. I think that’s where my disappointment lies.

The old Wagoneer was a period luxury SUV, but it was still rugged and capable. It had humble, utilitarian origins. Also....it’s a Jeep. I was hoping you’d still at least be able to do #jeepthing stuff. Hopefully something more Jalop will follow the initial concept.

Give it some approach angle, the suspension and wheel/tire dimensions from the Rebel and figure out a way to design a wheel based on this!

agree on the a pillar and wheels a bit too big - it might look quite nice in a monochrome color and different wheels

Eh, I like it. Less offensive than an Escalade and that appears to be the target market. I like the simple lines and boxiness of it. Looks miles better than every other amorphous blob CUV  with a million “character lines” . It will be cool if they bring an off road version, though.

It’ll probably sell like hotcakes too.

I agree though that it’s got a weird mashup look. I see more Ford Expedition than Tahoe, but agree on the other points.

Curious to see this in base level trim. Like people are saying, 18s with some sidewall in a Trailhawk package would improve it. Steelies? probably not.
